My wife and sons are beating me up, claims dad
A MAN in Malacca claims that he has been beaten and kicked by his wife in the past seven years, Utusan Malaysia reported.
Sham, 47, who works in an insurance company, claimed that his 43-year-old wife, who is an executive officer in a major firm, has been having an affair with another man since 1998 and always comes home late.
“Her antics worsened after I got a new job in Malacca in 2005,” he said.
“Last Wednesday, she kicked me in my groin after I raised the issue that she was having an affair with her colleague.
“Even my two teenage sons beat me up with coat hangers after they were prodded to do so by my wife,” he added.
He then showed the bruises and marks on his body.
Sham said he might have made a mistake by letting matters be and allowing his wife to do whatever she wanted.
He lodged a police report and sought help with the Barisan Nasional service centre in Malacca.
> Harian Metro reported on a police raid at a karaoke club, which employed divorcees as guest relations officers (GROs) who offered sexual services.
Two men and a woman, who are believed to be pimps, were picked up along with eight GROs.
The paper reported that the club also installed beds inside the toilets for customers who wanted sexual services.
> Berita Harian reported on the efforts of the parent-teacher association of a Chinese school in Jalan Pahang, Kuala Lumpur, to raise funds to build a surau in the school.
SJKC Chiao Nan PTA chairman Alex Ong said the school was the first Chinese school to launch a fund-raising programme for the construction of the surau.
“The surau is for the benefit of 107 Muslim teachers and students of the school.
“We have received positive response from many parties and donations are coming in from all over the country,” he told the paper.
